The week is getting on to be pretty typical. At work we hit our May 20th pre-release, and the final release for v1 will be June 3rd. At the moment I have about a half dozen bugs, a mix between UI tweaks, minor feature revisions, and two flat out "it blows up the application" bugs. I should have most (if not all) of them squashed before I leave today, although I am sure a few more will trickle in over the next week or so.
Sara got herself a permanent substitute position through the end of the school year at a middle school in Edmonds. This is good, since it means she can actually plan a schedule knowing when she is working instead of waiting every night for a call to sub for a day. By extension, that means I can also know for sure whether or when I need to go to her place in the morning to get Ben off to school. Yesterday morning after she left I couldn't find his lunch box for the life of me. I wound up just packing his lunch in a plastic bad. Turns out it was on a shelf in one of the lower cupboards. I swear I looked in that cupboard three times. Oh well.
Ben is going to the dentist tomorrow at noon, so this morning I asked Sara where the dentist's office was so I could meet them there. She gave me the letter he sent, with a map showing the office at Sand Point. I glanced at it and immediately said, "Oh, that's the same office building that Dr. Snip is in!"
"Who is Dr. Snip?" she asks.
"Oh, he's the doctor who has performed more vasectomies in the state of Washington than anyone else."
She gave me an odd look and asked, "Why on earth would you know that?"
"Because I was in his office."
There was kind of a pregnant pause, and then she just said, "Oh."
Why on earth would she be surprised that I had a vasectomy, or be taken aback by it? It's not like she ever wanted to have another child with me. Hell, she has no desire to ever get naked with me again. I kind of thought the whole divorce thing was a pretty clear statement on her part...
In other news, I got a call back from Wedgewood Estates yesterday saying my application was approved. Since I can't move until the 1st of July, I won't be able to lock in a specific apartment for another two weeks or so. In the meantime I have started packing anything that I can live without for a month. I figure if I chip away at it a little bit each day, by the time I move I will be... well, honestly I'll still be in a mad rush to get everything packed because I know myself well enough to know that no matter how much I try to prepare in advance I will still not be ready on moving day. I hate moving. Have to do it, though, the commute is killing me.

Heh. That's probably the least appropriate use of that phrase in, like, the history of ever. :)
