Another long day, and one I simply couldn't have survived without my friends.
I got up and ready this morning, and headed off to my local post office o do the change of address form, but they weren't open yet. Rather than sit around waiting I dashed over to Comcast to return my cable box and modem. They will owe me a refund, so that's nice.
I went in to work for my last day in the Seattle office, and set about packing my belongings. I also had my last chit-chat with Serena about television, at least face to face. I'm really going to miss that, especially when 24 comes back on this fall. I also got my annual review, which went well as long as you ignore the fact there wasno pay raise involved.
I took care of my address change online with the post office, said my last goodbyes to people, and headed off to pick up the truck from U-Haul.
Riff was there to help load the truck, and Six showed up to pitch in as well. Kris came over directly from work, and we loadedthe truck. We ran out of boxes, but it looks like I onle need two or three more. I'll go back tomorrow to get the last of it and to do the final cleaning.
When it was all said and done, Riff and Six had stayed until nearly 10pm to get my things loaded on the truck, and Kris only left earlier because she needed to go feed her sister's cats. I am incredibly grateful for all of their help.
Back at Kris' place, I had a shower and some rest. Now I am awake in the middle of the night but I expect I will fall back asleep soon. I hope.
