You would think that after ten years, Sara's ability to infuriate me would be somewhat diminished. But you would be wrong. Ben had a doctor's appointment this morning at Children's Hospital. The appointment was at 9am, and we were told to arrive 15 minutes early for registration. I had an important meeting this morning at work at 10am, so the plan was for me to meet Sara and Ben at the hospital so that I could leave and go straight to work after the appointment.
Sara was late. I realize that is akin to saying the sun rose in the east. I arrived on time. I waited until 8:55 and then when ahead and signed up on the list for registration on the assumption that they would be arriving shortly. By 9:05 my name was called and I went through the registration process. By 9:10 I was standing by the elevators waiting for Sara and Ben to arrive. And waiting. And waiting. Finally at 9:25, a full 40 minutes late, they showed up. That meant that I was able to walk with them to the clinic, help Ben get settled in the room, and then leave for work while saying hello to the doctor in passing.
Hey, I didn't really want to hear what the doctor had to say anyway, right?
Grrr.
