I took the Buick back to the car rental place yesterday and traded it in for a Pontiac Grand Am. *Much* better. Right off the bat the seat is more comfortable, and the general ergonomics are much, much better. Of course, Ben was a little uneasy about the whole thing. It was bad enough to be riding around in a strange car, but to then go to a strange place and exchange the strange car for another strange car... well, it was strange.
Two more days and I get me *real* car back.
Speaking of which, I forgot to write down the sad tale of the other woman at the body shop dropping her car off. Seems a while back somebody stole her Honda Accord and took it for a joy ride, did some serious damage but not quite enough to total it. She had to pay her $500 deductible, the car was in the shop for almost a month, and she had to drive a rental car for that period. She finally got her car back, good as new.... and less than a week later it was stolen again and taken for another joyride. When I met her she was dropping of her car again, paying another $500 deductible and going to get her rental car again.
I got nothing to complain about...
