So it turns out last night was not a dream. How cool is that?

In other news, the workers arrive any minute to begin framing out our new back patio. When it is done it will be a 12' x 20' concrete patio that is stamped, stained, and sealed to look like slate. The area is all prepped and ready to go, with everything cleared out of the way. Kris put in some hard time shoveling gravel a few days ago to clear the area from our first failed attempt at landscaping the back yard. I laid in pavers for a new walkway from the side gate to the back yard, and I have one side of it graveled in. I can't do the other side until I have somewhere to put the dirt that I dig up. Hopefully I will be able to work on that this evening. When the workers arrive they will dig out the patio area to a depth of 4" and then frame out the new patio. They can't pour the concrete today because the city of Winter Garden requires an inspection of the framing before the pour. With any luck we will be able to get the inspection done tomorrow morning and pour the patio before noon. We hope to be able to fire up the grill on our new patio this weekend.

I have taken a set of before pictures, and I will update the gallery with fresh pictures as the work proceeds. You can see them at http://picasaweb.google.com/ronaldmi/Patio#
