Mom has continued to improve since the second surgery, and is doing quite well. The NG tube was removed on Thursday, which made a huge positive difference. She has started back on food, mostly liquids but gradually working up to more substantial things. She is getting up and moving around some, but of course after two surgeries and more than a week in bed she is not exactly ready to go dancing. All indications are that she should be released from the hospital on Monday.
