Huh. I went to the doctor a month ago for a routine checkup, and my blood work came back showing I had decreased function in my thyroid gland. The doctor had me wait several weeks and then have more blood work done, in order to confirm the diagnosis. This morning I had the follow up, and I do indeed have an underactive thyroid gland. The good news, as I told my wife, was that going by the informational sheet about hypothyroidism that the doctor gave me, anything that I do that is the least bit annoying is totally not my fault, it's just because of my thyroid. :-P

Seriously, it just means I have to take a thyroid supplement every day for the rest of my life. Not any big deal at all. Just kinda weird.
