As Steve on Monster House would say...

The last of the shelves were finished yesterday, and then we allowed an extra day for the paint to fully dry (the black paint seems to stay tacky for quite a while). Tonight we got all of our paperbacks put on the bookshelf. We have tons of free space spread evenly throughout the stacks, and the right column has all of my series books with enough room for about three years of growth. Those will probably move, however, when I build the next set of bookshelves. Thanks to an inspiration from Kris, there will be another paperback shelf in the opposite corner that then wraps around into four sections of full depth bookshelves. The series books will move to that shelf, which will actually be a couple of inches wider, and then the right column where they sit now will be turned into CD storage. We will add two additional shelves for CDs, giving us twelve shelves available for them. Kris also found an excellent cd player/radio unit with an iPod dock that is wall-mountable, which will be installed once both desks are in. Yay! I dig being a homeowner.
