This morning I went east instead of west, and the West Orange Trail kicked my ass. Eastbound there isn't the issue of going through downtown Winter Garden with all of the stoplights and crosswalks. On the other hand, eastbound has quite a few more hills. Theoretically, since I skate out and back, every uphill should have an equal and opposite downhill. The truth is, I lose a lot more speed going up a long gradual hill than I gain going back down the same hill. That's mostly just a cheap excuse, though. The truth is I just didn't have as much energy this morning. I started out intending to up myself to twelve miles, but wound up settling for ten. Next time out I will push myself harder.

Course: West Orange Trail, mile marker 5 to mile marker 10 and back
Distance: 10 miles
Overall Time: 00:59:02
Fastest Mile: 00:04:48
Average Mile: 00:05:54

Since going easbound doesn't feature the long stoplights, the average mile includes all then miles instead of filtering out the first and last mile.
