Truck arrived, only a little bit late. The bulkhead came down somewhere between the Orlando terminal and my apartment. Nothing appears to be particularly damaged, but with the angle of how the bulkhead wall is laying I can't reach anything and I need help to lift the wall up enough to loosen the tension bars and remove it.

The unloading help isn't here yet, although I spoke to them about a half hour ago and they are on their way.

It was a beautiful day until about twenty minutes ago when the lightning started flashing and the thunder started rolling. No rain yet. I don't expect the torrential downpour to start until roughly 30 seconds after the unloading help arrives.

Helpers arrived at 3:20 p.m., unloading took three full hours (including the batch of things to be unloaded into a storage unit five miles up the road). The torrential downpour showed an uncharacteristic level of courtesy by waiting to begin until thirty seconds after we finished unloading. My nice, clean, uncluttered home now looks like this:

I now look like this:

I am now going to go take a shower and get some dinner. Then I have to put together my bed. I am making the rather optimistic assumption that the hardware required is actually attached to the bed pieces somewhere. Otherwise I'll be on the phone to my sweetie in the rather near future.

The cats, being very sensible creatures, are napping under the covers of Ben's bed, which is located in a nice, quiet, uncluttered room. I am considering joining them there.
