Went out to see Chicago with Kris last night. I'm glad I went, but I was definitely low energy for the whole thing. On the way home we stopped by the store so I could pick up a new bottle of NyQuil and some throat lozenges.
After I was back home and Kris had left, I took a dose of the NyQuil and went to bed. Unfortunately, it didn't make me drowsy. It made my arms feel like lead weights, my skin crawl like I was being eaten alive by thousands of maggots, made my stomach churn, and I felt like I had a solid rope of phlegm running from my nasal passage down through my throat and into my stomach. I don't think I'll be taking the NyQuil again.
I finally fell asleep somewhere around 2am, and slept fitfully until nine o'clock this morning. Decided to take another sick day as soon as I tried to sit up.
As of now I have almost no voice, my throat is scratchy, and I have a headache. On the upside, the body aches have gone and my chest does not feel so heavy anymore. Good thing since I have to pick Ben up from school in 2 1/2 hours. Ugh.
