You are a random non-nurse hospital employee. You walk into a patient room in which all the lights are off, the curtain is drawn, and it is dead quiet. You look around the curtain and clearly see the patient and the mother of the patient sound asleep, and the father of the patient sitting quietly working on his laptop computer. Do you:

A. Take note of the sleeping individuals, and the dark and quiet nature of the room, and speak softly to the father of the patient.

- or -

B. Announce yourself in full voice and loudly begin talking about patient services.

Note to respondant: If you select option B I *will* shush you like the ignorant child you have proven yourself to be and shoo you out of the room.

Feh.

Jeezus!

Seriously, is that what they teach in patient care seminars? Why does everyone who works in a hospital blow into the room and immediately begin speaking at a level just under a bellow?

So was this person properly chastened?

how was Ben's night?

Was he able to get to sleep at a decent hour?
What time did this cyclonic patient services person blast in?
