Here's how much of a geek I am

So I just saw Serenity.  Great movie.  But there's this scene later in the movie where the characters make a major discovery while on board a derelict vessel.  Boldly written both on the side of the vessel and in the interior is the id C-57D.  My immediate thought was, "Cool!  The ship from Forbidden Planet!"

It's also worth noting my response to a particular scene from The 40 Year Old Virgin, where he is boxing up collectibles to sell on eBay.  Among the stack of items is an original Aurora Wolf-Man in the long box.  Now, it doesn't so much pain me that I recognized exactly what it was.  What pains me is the fact that I knew at a glace that it was a fake in the movie because the cellophane was wrong.

Yeah.  I'm that much of a geek.
