The snakes are cool, but are they poisonous? What about that turtle...
I can say with a great deal of confidence that the turtle was, in fact, not poisonous. As for the snakes, the rat snake is definitely not. That other snake was either a cottonmouth (eek!), or a southern water snake (not so eek). Me, I very carefully scooted past on the non-fanged end of the snake. Kris stopped and took the photos. With the zoom lens.
