- My mom had to put her cat Louie to sleep last friday. He was 18, and he was just plain ready to go. Not entirely unexpected, but still sad.
- Ichi died while we were out of town. San is still molting and MIA. It's been over five weeks since he buried himself to molt, and I understand that for a crab his size it can take as long as 4-6 weeks. I am officially worried about him. Also last week, Ni dug in for a molt. I am worried about him too.
On the bright side, all of the other pets survived the week just fine.
**LATE UPDATE**
Not ten minutes after posting this, I heard some scritching coming from the crabitat. Ni resurfaced, having apparently had a very fast molt.
**EVEN LATER UPDATE**
My counting skills suck. Kris pointed out to me that my original post about the crabs was on May 23rd, which means I we have only had them for five weeks and two days. Given that San did not dig in for his molt until we had had him for a few weeks, it has really only been about three weeks since he began. This means that I can't be officially worred for at least another 2-3 weeks. I can use that time to brush up on my math skills.
