On the off chance that anybody is worried about me, what with this morning's posts:  I'm fine.  Yeah, it was a gawd-awful work day.  But I had a promising phone conversation, and I think there is some possiblility that the powers that be will recognize that I am currently in the wrong place.  We'll see.

That would be wonderful! Then we could hire one more QA person for me to hand Campaign Management off to, and we'd be back in business- and you, Amelia and i could get back to kicking bug ass.

That doesn't seem very likely. Y'all have asked mgmt many, many times for a maintenance team and got blown off every time.

Even so, if you (Ron) is going to be on the framework team, that's a win-win - Framework is the most important project of all of them, and yet for some insane reason mgmt has the team consisting of a single developer and a couple of "outsourced resources" who don't bother compiling their code before checking it in.

My project sucks too, but at least I don't have to deal with the other boobs in Dev. The only one I have to work with is David, and he rocks.

The concept, though, is that when we have another QA resource, that person *does* replace me as the primary element on Campaign Management, and i focus on floating as needed and Triage.

David does indeed rock. Not only is his code amazing, but he gives excellent advice. I was stuck on a stupid validation problem for several hours yesterday, and when I asked him if he had any ideas he pointed me in exactly the right direction. It still took me two more hours to fix, but at least I was finally headed down the right path.
