Funniest damn thing I have seen in ages. I am assuming here that anyone reading this did not watch Saturday Night Live last night because, really, who does anymore? First a helpful quote from a recent magazine interview:
Lucky Magazine: What are your takes on lip-synching?
Ashlee Simpson: I'm totally against it and offended by it. I'm going out to let my real talent show, not to just stand there and dance around. Personally, I'd never lip-synch. It's just not me.

It's the stupid jig that really sells it for me; that, and the way the musicians all kick in and start playing actual live music because they have, um, what's that thing? Oh yeah, talent.
She came back at the end of the show and blamed her band for starting the wrong song. Because, you know, it was the *drummer* who magically made the lead vocals appear while Ashlee's lips weren't moving. Heh.
