The Setup:
I've been reading The Rising by Brian Keene, which is your basic zombie story that features father/son dynamic.

The Execution:
At two o'clock in the morning I was awakened by a zombie shambling into my room, muttering unintelligible gibberesh as it climbed up onto my bed and began to pull aside the blankets to reach me. I screamed in abject terror, recoiling from this undead thing that was preparing to feast upon my flesh. For its part, the zombie simply crawled under the blankets, drank a little juice, and curled up and went back to sleep. Apparently Ben woke up in the middle of the night and didn't want to stay in his own bed.

In retrospect, I totally understand why my mom wouldn't let me read that Tales of the Zombie comic book before bedtime back when I was nine years old.
