As I expected, we were a bit slow getting off the mark for the start of the drive. A few errands to be run, a little shuffling and settling to be done in the cars, and finally around 11am we were on our way.

The drive itself was completely uneventful. We stopped for a break in George, WA, hit a little road construction outside of Spokane, refueled and got some lunch in Spokane, and just as the sun was setting we arrived in Missoula, MT.

The length of the drive seemed perfect for one day; we covered plenty of ground but never even came close to being tired. The scenery was beautiful. I had not been to Missoula in at least fifteen years, and the last time I was there I just didn't appreciate the majesty of that valley nestled in amongst the rockies.

That nigh I slept like a log.
