Today has been a damn long day. Ben was up until almost midnight last night, and I actually fell asleep on the couch. That is no easy feat, given that I am about six inches longer than the couch. Anyway, I had a surprisingly good night's sleep aside from a nightmare where I found out that the new season of 24 had already begun and I had missed the first hour. With everything going on in my life, *this* is what I have nightmares about?!?

Once Ben woke up and we had both gotten dressed and ready for the day, we headed over to my mom's place. She was not looking well, with a headache setting in. Her PT level had dropped further, down to 1.8, and it is always rough on her when it swings so far in such a short period of time. We had a good visit, and I was relieved to hear she has started talking to Mark Johnson again. Mark is the pastor of the Lutheran church we belonged to up in Skagit Valley. Mark is one of the few people in the world who she feels completely comfortable talking to honestly about what she is feeling, and he is an excellent counselor. Hopefully he will be able to help her through all this.

We spent a few hours there, and she really teared up when we were leaving. Tuesday is going to be hard.

I took Ben home to Sara's, and then came home to do the final packing. Kris has been so much help I can't even begin to express it. Over the course of five hours she completely took care of the kitchen and then miscellaneous other packing while I focused on tearing down and packing the computer and electronics and disassemling any furnature that could go into pieces. By 11pm we were both wiped out, but things are looking good for being ready to load the truck tomorrow. After she left I took a long hot shower to wash off the sweat and the grime. It's taken me about a half hour to write this, and I am ready for sleep. Tomorrow will be another loooong day.
