Yay! Much joy in my household! I am doing the happy dance around my living room!
Now that I have seen the pieces up close, the framing job that needs to be done has become crystal clear. It will be a two-tiered black shadow box, with midnight blue matte. On the right side will be the artwork with the correct caption underneath, which will be at the surface level of the shadow box just under the glass. On the left side will be a recessed area for the mask to rest in, such that the nose of the mask is level with the artwork.
Woo hoo! I am so happy!!
Plus, I am looking forward to seeing the looks on people's faces as they come into my house and see this on the wall right next to my guillotine!
