Dear Greenlake Pedestrians,
As you are walking along the path around Greenlake you will notice that there are two very distinct lanes. Frequently as you travel along the path you will notice signs that indicate the inside path is for people on foot, while the outside path is for people on wheels.

This is for your own safety.

When I am out skating I am wearing protective gear; knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, and maybe even a helmet. If I take a fall, it is very likely that I will walk away unscathed. You, on the other hand, will probably not be so lucky. When a mass of nearly 300 lbs traveling at 12-15 mph collides with you, you are going down and at a minimum you will suffer bruises and scrapes. It is very likely that you will also suffer broken bones and/or a concussion. Those injuries will be compounded when I am forced to club the shit out of you for placing me in an impossible situation.

If you are dumb enough and rude enough to walk in the wheels lane, it is your own damn fault if you get hit. It is no different than playing in the middle of the street.

So please, for your own safety, stick to the inside lane.

Thank you.
