I woke up yesterday with the muscles of my mid-back tense and twitcing. If I moved much at all, the muscles would tense up and for a few seconds I couldn't breathe.

I went to work but finally went home after lunch. I hoped that if I rested for the remainder of the day and got a good night's sleep it would take care of itself.

In otherwards, I was being overly optimistic.

This morning I woke up and knew right away that I wasn't going to work. Fortunately I just happen to know an LMP, so I gave her a call. Despite her busy scedule, [livejournal.com profile] damashita set aside the time to see me this afternoon. She worked on me for over an hour, and it made a world of difference. Initially the massage actually made my lower back act up (I herniated a disc there in 1986), but that only lasted for thirty minutes or so. At this point I feel pretty much back to normal.

In other news, the credit union approved raising the limit on my line of credit today. This will enable me to move a damn near userous loan from 23.9% down to 11.25% and save me nearly $1000 in interest and fees. Slowly and steadily I am getting my financial house in order. Dad would be proud.
