Sunday night I was out entirely too late, watching a damn good werewolf movie from England called "Dog Soldiers". It was playing at the Grand Illusion theater in the U District. This was my first visit to the Grand Illusion, and I can honestly say I know what I want to be when I grow up. Or maybe when I *stop* being grown up. Or something like that.

The theater is a hole-in-the-wall temple to film, seating perhaps 60-70 people in an intimate room lined with red velvet and an antiqued tin ceiling. If someone stands up during the movie, their shadow blocks the screen. It is a tiny theater dedicated to showing independent and hard-to-find films, and I will be returning there as often as possible in the future to support them.

So anyway, I did not get to sleep until after 1am.. which is a problem since I have to be up at 5:50 on Monday mornings. Monday was a very long day, which I dragged through with only four hours of fitful sleep. By the time I got home, I was ready for bed. I walked in the door, looked at the clock, and saw it was only 6:30. Screw it, I went to bed.

And slept.

I woke up a little after 7am, after hibernating for over twelve hours. Heaven.
