The Skull Kingdom Haunted Attraction was a nifty year-round haunted house attraction over on I-Drive located next to the Wet & Wiled water park and just across the overpass from Universal. During the day they ran a family-friendly "jump out and say boo!" kind of setup, and then at night they ran a full-on "try to make you soil your shorts" kind of setup. I only went once, just after Kris moved out here, and it was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, last year they closed their doors forever after a ten year run. Now I see in today's paper that the building is being torn down, with cranes today taking down the iconic skull entryway. In its place will be an apartment complex targeted towards people who work at the multitude of attractions nearby (an estimated 40,000 people work within a two mile radius of that location). Kind of a sad day.
