Running total of the number of time Ben has ridden Snow White's Scary Adventures, as of 5/24/07:

The last day of school was Tuesday, and then Sara had two more teacher workdays to wrap up the school year. Mom was kind enough to come over and spend time with Ben during the day while he was here those two days, so that I could focus on work. I don't mind having Ben hear for a couple hours in the afternoon while I am working, but it just seems neglectful to expect him to entertain himself for a full day while I sit in the office writing code. So anyway, on Thursday Ben was agitating to go to the Magic Kingdom pretty much from the minute he woke up. Since I was caught up on work, and since Kris was going to be out late anyway, around 3:00 I took my mom home and then took Ben to the Magic Kingdom. Sara met us there about an hour after we got there, and on the whole it was a pleasant enough afternoon.
It was also (theoretically) the last weekday that I will spend any time with Ben until school starts again in August. On the one hand, I am looking forward to saving at least a tank of gas every week by not having to make the drive out to Ben's school every day. On the other hand, I've gotten used to seeing him pretty much every day. Last summer, what with the whole hospital experience, I still saw him continually throughout the summer. It is going to be very strange.
