This morning Ben competed in the Special Olympics for the first time. Overall he had a good time, and he even won a second place ribbon for his area. Although he was a little reluctant at first, once the event got going he was actually interested in watching the other kids. There were three events: the free throw, the dribbling contest, and the passing contest. According to his coach he did better at all three events than he had at practice in school, so that's pretty cool. Overall it was well worth the time and effort, and he really seemed to enjoy himself.
