Tivo Dead. Me am sad. :(
Initially I thought it was hard drive failure, so I bought a brand new hard drive and put the factory image on it. Unfortunately, it was still dead.
The good news: DirectTV is going to replace it for free, and I don't have to return the old unit.
The bad news: it's a holiday weekend, so the new unit won't ship out until Tuesday.
I was worried that they would send me one of their non-Tivo DVRs, but the tech assured me that they still had actual DirecTivo unites still on hand and they would send me one of those. I have grown attached to the real Tivo interface, and don't like imitations.
