So, the decision last night was to let Ben stay off the IV nutrients for one night and also to skip the morning blood draw. He has been NPO (hospital talk for "no food or drink") since 4am, and he will have a new PICC line inserted in a couple of hours. Sara says Ben had an ok night, but he is obviously in some pain and back into lethargic mode. Not having the IV nutrients and pain medication is taking its toll.

The results of the CT scan yesterday were nothing surprising. No cysts, no hematomas, just a pancreas that is still inflamed. No new answers. At best, from a troubleshooting standpoint, it's just a few more things ruled out. We haven't spoken directly to any of the doctors since before the CT scan, so I am pretty anxious to hear their current thoughts. It looks to me like a helicopter ride to Gainesville is getting more and more likely. Twenty bucks says it happens on Monday, when Kris and I have plans for an anniversary dinner at Victoria & Albert's (a four star restaurant at the Grand Floridian).
