What was one of the primary symptoms that sent Ben to the emergency room last Wednesday? Extreme lethargy. He had slept for nearly 20 hours in a 24 hour period.
What has Ben not done much of since being admitted to the hospital? Sleep.
They gave him a sedative at 9:00 that should have put him right to sleep. He got woozy for fifteen or twenty minutes, then he perked right back up. It's nearly midnight, and he shows no signs of being drowsy. I expect to get roughly zero hours of sleep tonight.
(BTW - I have a live internet connection from the room now. Obviously.)
