First off:  no more numbers, in case anybody was wondering.  My daily and weekly tracking acheived its purpose, I have changed my lifestyle habits, greatly reduced my body fat percentage, and (most importantly) have acheived a body size that I am happy with.  I feel good, and I apparently look good based on the comments of co-workers who hadn't seen me in several months.  I would not be surprised if I still lost a little bit more weight as I continue to train for the upcoming inline marathon, but I no longer feel the need to obsessively keep track.

So anyway.

Crap.  I found out this morning that yesterday Ben hit his teacher in the face with a video tape.  That's really not good.  We fully expected there to be an adjustment period when he moved up to middle school, but we are seeing the opposite of what we expected:  at first he was pretty much fine, but he has grown increasingly aggressive in the past two months.  Problems at school with him hitting other students.  Problems at home (two nights ago he demanded to be taken to Wal-Mart and proceeded to throw a fit when he was refused.  While Sara was holding his arms at his side in a bear hug to control him, he head-butted her in the nose.)  I just don't know what to do.  I have a call out to his doctor to re-evaluate his medication.  I have a message out to his teacher, but I haven't heard back from her yet.  I would like to call a full IEP meeting with the teacher, all of the specialists at the school who work with him, and at least one school administrator.  At this point I am not entirely convinced that Ben is in the right place.  I just don't know where the right place is.

So anyway.

Crap.  Had a few moments of total panic just a bit ago.  My mom gets her social security payement on the second wednesday of the month.  It's been that way for over a year now, like clockwork.  Today she got a letter in the mail saying that she would be getting her October payment on or about November 3rd.  My head just about exploded when I heard that.  Then as I got more details, I put it all together.  Because she is covered by Medicare now, her payment schedule is changing.  But the payment she gets each month is for the previous month, not the current month.  In other words, she should get her September payment tomorrow as scheduled, and then starting next month with her October payment it will come at the beginning of the month instead of the second wednesday like it has been.  Crisis averted, but it did provide a moment of pure panic.

So anyway.

Crap.  The thing I've been working on for weeks now at work, this stupid mail file thing, I keep thinking it's working properly.  And then it isn't.  To troubleshoot takes hours at a time to step through the code because of the very long database calls involved.  I have spent my entire day on it today, and I think I may have finally uncovered the underlying issue (at least for this particular issue).  I think.  Test is looking at it again.  Hopefully it will work.

But it probably won't.
