Her name is Alice, and she is a Dracaena fragrans Massangeana. Her genus is one used by NASA as a natural air purifier, and will even effectively remove formaldehyde from a room. She is only about three feet tall now, but raised properly she can grow as high as 18 feet ( I doubt I would ever allow her to grow taller than 6-7 feet. She isn't very thirsty, preferring to completely dry out her soil before being watered again, and she likes just enough light that she gets from her eastern exposure window. She is a very pretty girl.
