I still had much to ponder today, so I decided to self-medicate through the judicious application of centrepidal and gravitational forces while traveling at high velocities. (I rode roller coasters.) Let me just say, the extra time it takes to wait for the front row on the Ice Dragon is worth every minute. The moment you come whirling around a corner only to head straight for a brick wall, and then pull up at the last possible moment into an outside loop... yeah, that's the stuff that dreams are made of.
As for work, I spoke to a number of people today in a variety of positions. There was a consistent tone among all of them, and from a few sources I heard some very reliable inside news. The upshot is that if I were Eli, I would be very concerned about that itchy spot between my shoulder blades. I think that Eli has a very short time in which to change a whole lot of people's opinions of him. I'm not saying it's an impossible task, and for that matter if he can pull it off then more power to him. But he has a real uphill climb ahead of him, and not a lot of foot soldiers willing to throw themselves on grenades for him. I don't envy his position.
